Christopher Minor served with honor and dedication as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and as a Boston Fireighter (BFD).
He lived a life of service, protecting his country and his community, and touched countless lives with his selflessness and bravery.

This site is a place to remember, share memories, and celebrate his legacy, with friends, family, and the community.

Plum Island: A Place of History and Honor

Where Land, Sea, and Sacrifice Meet

The Sgt. Donald Wilkinson Bridge is a double-leaf bascule drawbridge built in 1973 that carries the Plum Island Turnpike over the Plum Island River, allowing access to Plum Island.
At the end of the driveway, there is a large cross that is a memorial to Sgt. Donald Wilkinson, USMC. Along with his name, the cross is inscribed with: Freedom is not free.

Boston Fire Department

Courage. Service. Dedication.

Christopher Minor became a firefighter on June 11, 2008.

He personified the Boston Fire Department’s mission is to protect life, property, and the environment through prevention, education, emergency medical services, and civil defense.

United States Marine Corps

Honor. Courage. Commitment.

Christopher Minor embodied the Marine Corps’ core values of honor, courage, and commitment.

Christopher Minor served in the US Marine Corps from 1999-2003.  

He achieved the following recognitions:

A Day of Remembrance, Music, and Community

Celebrate Christopher’s life with us on Sunday Funday September 21, 2025.  

12:00 PM – Alex Anthony Band at the Sunset Club

The Alex Anthony Band is renowned for reinventing the modern cover band experience, they blend their individual talents seamlessly, creating an electric atmosphere wherever they perform. Delivering unforgettable shows, elevating themselves to being one of the most exciting bands!

4:00 PM – Finding Dimes at the Riptide

Finding Dimes covers Classic Rock, Pop, R&B, Motown and Modern Country songs featuring tight arrangements, harmonies and mostly fun!

7:00 PM – Beach Lantern Send-off

Immediately following the Finding Dimes at the Riptide and the 6:42 pm sunset, head to the beach and light a lantern for Christopher Minor.
